By using Ecster Pay, you accept Ecster’s terms of use. When you enter or request information, you are starting to use Ecster Pay. By doing so, you have also accepted that we process your personal data, including giving us the opportunity to transfer the data to third parties.
Ecster may also use electronic communication via channels such as text messages and e-mail in its contacts with you. Ecster may disclose information to other companies in the Handelsbanken Group which can then also use the information in the ways and for the purposes described here.
Ecster needs to guarantee your identity to prevent unauthorised or improper use of Ecster Pay and to meet the requirements of good practice. Ecster collects and processes information such as civic registration number, name and address and, when a form of credit is selected, credit information from different suppliers.
To make a risk assessment, Ecster also uses the information you may have provided for previous purchases, together with information about whether you have previously fulfilled our terms of payment. Ecster also shows saved addresses. Your compliance with the terms of use for Ecster’s payment services also affects the risk assessment for using Ecster Pay and thus your ability to use different payment options in Ecster Pay.
Ecster processes your personal data that you have provided or requested for purposes such as identification, payment, administrative and marketing purposes. Ecster may provide your personal data in order for the vendor to be able to deliver your purchases and provide you with offers.

Ecster has no responsibility for third party websites and/or their contents. Regarding websites and/or applications provided by third parties, the applicable terms of use are those provided by the owner of the relevant website and/or application.
Other than to the extent stated in the Terms of use or in mandatory consumer legislation, Ecster is in no case liable for any damage, directly or indirectly caused, resulting from the use of Ecster Pay. Swedish law is applied and any disputes are settled by a general court.
